Art is an expression, and it can activate us to notice, record, interpret and respond. Lori am passionate about the patterns, rhythms and colour of our landscape.
The land we stand on, what it provides, how it is made, the geology and layers creating hills, valleys, rivers and bush, are things that increasingly fascinate and inspire Lori, to understand and tell the story of our heartland starting with a simple pencil and paper.
Lori's practice is to observe the architecture of the landscape, capture it in a series of drawings, then recompose, cut and collage the drawings together until she has composition with pattern and rhythm.
